Questions
What is the difference between SRT and VTT?
They hold the same cues. WebVTT starts with a WEBVTT header and uses a dot before milliseconds; it is the format HTML5 video players use. SRT is numbered and uses a comma.
How do I fix subtitles that drift out of sync?
If they are late or early by the same amount throughout, use the shift. If the gap grows over time (often a 23.976 vs 25 fps mismatch), adjust the speed, e.g. 95.9% or 104.3%.
