Questions
How secure is it?
Files are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is derived from your password with PBKDF2-SHA-256 (600,000 iterations) and a random salt. A strong password is what keeps it safe.
I forgot my password. Can you recover the file?
No. Nothing is stored anywhere, so a lost password means the file cannot be decrypted.
How do I decrypt?
Drop the .lkenc file here and enter the same password. The original file name is restored.
