Questions
What photos do I need?
2–5 shots of the same scene at different exposures (e.g. −2, 0, +2 EV), ideally from a tripod. Many phones and cameras can shoot an exposure bracket automatically.
Is this “real” HDR?
It uses exposure fusion (the Mertens method): the best-exposed, most detailed parts of each shot are blended directly into a normal photo — no tone-mapping step, so results look natural.
Why are there ghosts?
Anything that moved between shots appears in several places. Photos must also be aligned — handheld shots may look soft.
