Questions
What does 755 mean?
Owner can read, write and execute (7); group and others can read and execute (5). Common for scripts and directories.
What are setuid, setgid and sticky?
Special bits shown as a 4th leading digit. setuid (4) runs a file as its owner, setgid (2) as its group, and sticky (1) on a directory stops users deleting others’ files.
