Questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. A ViT-GPT2 captioning model runs in your browser with Transformers.js. Only the model downloads, once, and is then cached.

Is the generated alt text good enough?

It is a starting draft. Always review it — add context the model cannot know, such as names, text in the image and why the image is on the page.

When should alt be empty?

For purely decorative images that add no information. Tick “Decorative” and the HTML uses alt="" so screen readers skip it.
